Well the first week of everyone being back at school is coming to an end. I have to admit that I have enjoyed a few moments of peace and quiet this week. I also have to admit that I have left the refrigerator door open and no one has yelled at me, I also left the water running in the sink and no one has yelled at me and I also threw a can in the garbage and no one yelled at me (I did throw it in the recycle bin). I also did not watch one episode of Jon and Kate or Choppers. So as much as I miss all the summer noise and miss you Kristen I have enjoyed a little bit of quiet but I do hope that all of you come home soon because in the end the quiet will get boring and the fun begins when everyone is HOME!!! Love ya!

Kadence would like to take this opportunity to thank her Grandma and Aunties for helping make this moment possible. It is offical she rolled from her back to her tummy...all by her little self. And if she looks a little scared in this picture it is because she was confused as to why this little roll caused camera flashes, cheering and clapping!

In the mood for a juicy slice of watermelon, then stop by! We grew watermelon in our garden and hello it worked! Here is one before..

And here it is being cut up for afternoon tasting...yummmm...

And while I feel like I monopolize this little bloggy I have to leave you with a pic of me and K up in the mountains on Monday, I actually caught a smile on her face, which doesn't get caught on camera often. Now a challenge for someone else to write on here!

I have tried for almost 4 months to get Little K to take a binky...not that I really want her to take a binky, because frankly I don't want to have to wean her off of it someday down the road, but just as a soothie to help her go down for naps on those days that she isn't really interested in going down for a nap easily. Anyway I have about 6 binkies stashed in my diaper bag, all different kinds, but she just doesn't take them and well I think I have almost given up. And then today...I lay her on Mom's bed to take a little nap and I walk out of the room to get something and I when I come back to lay down with her, this is how I find her...the thumb. Was it a little fluke or the start of a habit that I don't think I like all that much!
