The Dancers

Thursday, March 26, 2009

I titled this "The Dancers" only because the one about Kris was "The Artist". It seems like today was a very cultural day for the family. A few weeks ago Chan and I got roped into participating in our ward roadshow that each ward performs for the stake. We were told that we would be a dancing couple and all we would need to do is a little swing dancing. Well we had no idea what we were signing up for, next thing we knew we were attending dance practices learning flips, turns, and cartwheels. This will come as a shock to you all being as the last time I danced was probably when I was in the first grade, but I swear it's true. Well tonight was the big performance and I have to say it went pretty well. Unfortunately we didn't get a recording of it, but we snapped a quick picture so you could see our great costumes made by the young women. I don't know if we will be signing up for professional dance classes, but in the end we did have a pretty good time learning some dance moves.

The Artist.

Last year Kristen said that she would be taking an oil painting class, how ambitious. So to oil painting class she went and one day she came home with a masterpiece, a beautiful tulip. I was so impressed. Well, today her beautiful tulip was on display at the art show and she couldn't make it down from school, but Little K and I were able to go and it looked great! A man was offering $500 for it, but I stepped in and told him it wasn't for sale...I hope you don't care.

Midway

Monday, March 23, 2009

We got to stay up in Midway for part of the week last week, it was SO much fun! I think I want to move there, but then I don't think I will appreciate it as much...hmmm, I guess I will keep thinking about it. The funnest part of the week was taking Little K swimming! She LOVED it! She loved having everyone around her and just splish splashing in the water.

We can't wait to go again!

Little K has started pointing at everything, it is SO cute. Today I was reading her a book and she was pointing to all the things that she liked on the page, I loved it.
Hmmmm...what could she be pointing to in this picture.

Oh, yes, Geese or Duckies as we call them. She has a huge love for Ducks and when she sees them says "Du Du Du." It is the CUTEST! How nice that they had a duck pond for us to visit. I think she would have stayed all day if she could have. We would put a little piece of bread in her hand and she would throw it to them. She loved it!

For BranChan

She asked me what the shirt meant, and I told her it was a type of car. She asked "if they bought me the shirt, then will they be buying me the car too.?" "Of course," I told her, "when you are 16." You wouldn't want to let her down, now would you?

Top of the Morning!

Say hello to this little Leprachaun! I don't know that she has an ounce of Irish blood in her, but it sure won't stop me from giving her kisses!

Rescue

Monday, March 16, 2009

Rescue, meaning two things. 1. Kristen sent out an S.O.S on the blog saying it was boring. Well sweetie, you started your own blog and have abandoned this one, so to keep it lively you are really going to post on both, but I will send a little resuce this time. 2. I needed a little break, so rescue came and I got to head down South, just me and Scott, sans the Princess for some R & R. Of course, there is never too much R & R when it comes to Scott, because we always end up taking bikes and always end up being on the trail double the amount of time we plan. But, it was lots of fun and it was soooo nice being in the sunny, warm weather. Thank You over and over again to Nana, Papa, Auntie Lindsey and Uncle Taylor for taking such good care of Little K. I think she is having withdrawls today from the lack of attention I am giving her and her duck of course. It was hard, really hard, making the decision to leave her for a few days and I cried a lot the first night trying to go to bed without having her little monitor right up by my ear. But, I think we both loved a little "vacation." I'll leave you with some pics, then I am going to take some of Baby K to post so we have something CUTE to look at!

Guys... this blog has gotten quite boring.

What are we to do???

Bumps and Bruises

Monday, March 2, 2009

After a very successful almost 3/4 of church that included an at church nap (extremely rare!) my little bundle of energy decided to get in a little fight with the church bench during Sacrament Meeting. She was distraught, I was distraught and well her little face had the marks to prove it, poor girl. Of course she forgot quickly but she definatly has the bump and bruise to prove that church benches can be very, very mean.

Draper Temple Open House

Saturday, February 21, 2009

After probably making about 150 phone calls Mom got all us girls to meet at the same location and same time so we could go to the Draper Temple Open House together. The only glitch was that she decided to stay home and be the wonderful Nana that she is and let us all enjoy an evening together. The Temple was beautiful, inside and out. I am so glad we were are able to get there...and Mom will get there too, I'll make sure of it, (even though she has been numerous times for volunteering, just not inside.)

Dear Tooth Fairy,

Meet your future client.

We call her "The Princess"...

See those two bottom teeth, they make her look so grown up.
