Philly here we come!

Thursday, October 20, 2011

I finally got around to uploading ALL the photos from our trip to Philly! Noelle did really well traveling (although it exhausted her mommy). Once there we:
1. Visited Amish country
2. Toured Gettysburg
3. Saw where the Constitution was signed with Bran Chan :)
4. Saw the iconic love sign and "Rocky" steps
5. Enjoyed a sunset by the Row Houses
4. Bonded with Aunt Bambi over some Philly Cheese steaks
5. Played with Cousin Jane (and all her REALLY fun toys!)
6. Went to the Jersey Shore
7. And just looked cute as could be!

It was great to spend time with Mike & Christie & Jane (who are the most gracious hosts to put us up, especially Jane. Noelle LOVED to pull her cute little hair, Jane did not love it) and Brianne & Chandler.

Photobucket

I know that if you are a member of the Moore family you will probably be crying just by looking at these pictures. But I just wanted to post on here and say how much we all loved Abby. Thank you Mom and Dad for actually buying us a dog. I know at times we might not have been the most helpful children when it came to the responsibilities of having a dog, but thank you for letting us have Abby in our lives. Thank you Dad for the countless walks you took Abby on to the school and picking up the slack for us. We all miss Abby so much, but I know that one day we will see her again and she will be very happy to see us and will probably jump all over us like she did when she was young. Also one of my all time favorite pictures is Abby taking a nap on the couch, makes me laugh every time.

XOXO We love and miss you Abby

Olympic Center

Thursday, August 25, 2011

Before we left Colorado Springs the girls and I and some of our friends headed down to the Olympic Center for a tour. The Olympic Committee and their training facilities are headquartered in the Springs.
Future Bobsled sister team!

Kadence in the training gym for volleyball and gymnastics.

7-11 Velodrome

Friday, August 12, 2011

When we found out we were moving to Colorado Springs last December Scott was really excited because he knew that there was a Velodrome there. There are not a whole lot of velodromes in the US. He got a track bike and fell in love with track racing, another cycling specialty to add to his resume! Track bikes are different then any other bikes because they have no gears, single speed and they have NO brakes! The girls and I really like going to the track to watch. The only hard part with track racing is that the races go off in groups so there are big gaps between his races which makes it kind of long and a little boring. Kadence has to take her bike everytime and ride it around the top of the track while everyone is racing.

Midway

When the girls and I came to Utah for the 4th of July we got to stay in Midway for an entire week with MA! We had a blast, we pretty much just swam our little hearts out. We loved being nestled in the mountains and realized how much we miss living so close to the mountains and our family.

6 months and counting

Friday, July 29, 2011

I can't believe this sweet baby has been with us so long! She has been so busy the past few weeks rolling around, sitting up, waving and trying to say Hi!, and trying to eat EVERYTHING! I thought it would be fun now that she is 6 months to take her in to get some pictures. Enjoy!

Swimming Lessons

Wednesday, July 20, 2011

I decided to put K in swimming lessons this year. I wanted her to be more comfortable in the water and to have something to do this summer. Well...10 minutes into her first lesson her teacher dunked her under water. Sooooo I spent the next 6 lessons having a screaming child who hated lessons. After a lot of encouragement, with 2 lessons to go, she decided she loved to swim and going under water was fun! Yay! She is doing really good now, goes under great on her own and knows how to hold her breath. Hoping that next year will be a little less painless!

Horses

Friday, July 15, 2011

I love this picture of Kadence. You only have to be with Kadence about 2 minutes to realize that she loves horses. I was thinking about finding all my pictures of Kadence on a pony, but I think I would feel overwhelmed knowing how much money I have spent on pony rides. Kadence loves horses, we currently have 5-10 horses that "live" at our house. She rides them around the house all day, they come to the store with us, which it takes forever to tie them up. They pull the jogger when I take the girls on my runs and they fill up our car really fast when we go anywhere. My favorite is that her bike is a horse and she always hops on and says giddy up girl and rides away! She loves this horse shirt she is wearing in the picture that her Ma got her. When we drove to Utah a few weeks ago we even stopped in Vail where Kristen's friend was working at the Beaver Creek Stables to let her ride a pony to break up the drive. My Dad called right when we got there and when I told him what we were doing he thought I was absolutely crazy, but hey we do crazy things to make our kids happy right?

Kiki Comes to Town!!

We have been blessed with lots of visitors lately! This makes us VERY happy! Kristen made plans awhile back with some friends to come to CO. Well, little did she know that even after she got here, her plans would be changing. Some of the friends decided not to come and she ended up staying with us for a week and then driving with me and girls back to UT! We loved having her here and hope she had fun!

We went to Garden of the Gods for dinner and then drove around to the different rock formations.

Of course we had to take Kiki to our Zoo, it is awesome and regardless if you like zoos or not you will have fun (we think so)
On Saturday Scott said he would watch the girls if Kristen and I wanted to go out and do something. Kristen wanted to do the Incline in Manitou Springs. I hadn't had a chance to do it yet, so I was up for the challenge.

Here is a pic of what it looks like....

Here is Kristen right before she started to make her way up. She said the goal was to not stop and just keep going. She beat me, of course...

Here we are at the top!

Thanks for coming Kiki, we love you and are so happy you came and visited us!
