About a year and a half ago we were challenged in Relief Society to memorize "The Living Christ".
I immediately dismissed the idea thinking that I am too old, it is too hard, I just could never do it. I think that I read the first paragraph a few times and said forget it. Then in November I went to our Stake Women's Conference where they talked about "The Living Christ". I felt really motivated and inspired that this was something I should do; needed to do. So on January 1st I began working on it. Somewhere along the way I decided to set a goal and have it memorized by Easter. Well I want you to know that I have achieved my goal. But to me it is so much more then achieving just the goal. It truly was the journey. I found that I had to think about my Savior everyday. If I didn't I would lose focus. I had to think about His life, His mission, and all that He had done for me. I realized that He truly gave His life to atone for the sins of ALL mankind. That we are ALL sons and daughters of God. I want you to know that I have a testimony that Jesus is the Living Christ, He is the immortal Son of God. He truly is the light and the life and the hope of the world. I love Easter time, I love all the fun Easter crafts but more then anything I love and am grateful for all that my Savior had done for me. I love each of you and wish each of you a Christ centered Easter. Love, Mom
