4 Weeks.

Has it really been 4 weeks since I slept...uhhh I mean since Kadence was born. It has and I can't believe it. Kadence and I are celebrating today by doing some of her favorite things. Having milk for breakfast and lunch, watching morning TV, going for a ride in the car seat and singing songs. Being a Mommy is more than I ever expected, it is the best job ever. Kadence and I wanted to take this 4 week milestone to thank everyone for all you have done for us. Thanks for keeping us company, helping us get out of the house every once and a while and keeping us fed with yummy meals and treats. We love you G-Pa, Nana, Aunties and Uncles! Mwah!

Okay so maybe this isn't how she wanted to celebrate...

The Race!

Saturday, May 10, 2008

This is one of my FAVORITE family traditions! The Race for the Cure is so much fun every year. I am so glad that we could get a few together this year. The weather was fabulous, the crowd was inspiring, but we missed the others who couldn't come. We missed you and will see you next year!Way to go ladies!

True Blue Fans!

What is this?? Archuleta hand!?! Yup, K-dizzle snug a shake from the David after his little National Anthem number. What a heart throb!

But no need to worry, we really were there for the basketball. I mean look at this picture, evidence....

Ok, wait, that is JUST Kyle Korver, by far the best looking Jazzman of our time. Any debate ladies? JK, especially to all those that really know me. The game was great. It was great to watch Kobe squirm a little. We had a blast, cheered our hearts out, and even snuck in a thirty second t.v. bit! Thanks Dad and you are amazing on camera!

Hospital Life...

Is sooooo tough...

baby kadence

Thursday, May 8, 2008

well, the big day has finally arrived! we have been counting down the days since kari awkwardly told us she was pregnant, us thinking that britney spears' baby was joining us on the cruise. kadence elizabeth preston was brought into the world at 10:00 this morning, weighing 7 pounds and 1 ounce. she is absolutely beautiful and we cant decide who she looks more like. i think we concluded that she is a perfect mix of the two. kari looked gorgeous as usually, nothing but a little wincing to remind us that she did go through a c-section this morning. and scott is a perfect new dad, even changing the first diaper (we heard it wasnt pretty). the only problem came with us moore girls fighting over who gets to hold her. but, kari and scott, we love you so much and cant wait to play with your new addition some more!

the mission to find diet pepsi man

Monday, May 5, 2008

mom, dad, and i (kristen) are on a mission. okay, maybe mom was not as interested as dad and i, but still, we will include her name. this morning mom said she was going to go for a walk up to the sign and dad and i agreed to go with her. we began our walk and were just enjoying each others company. we reached the sign and began out descent home. i was looking around, noticing all the trash littering the side of the road. i began to pick up some bottles and cans, mom and dad agreed to carry some. after a minute we started realizing how many of the bottles were 1 liter diet pepsi bottles. we found a large plastic bag and started putting the bottles in it. bottle after bottle of 1 liter diet pepsi bottles. in some places there were 4 bottles within 5 feet of each other!!! we were just astonished. we came to the conclusion that there is a very careless man (definitely not a woman) with no morals that drives that road everyday and drinks an insane amount of diet pepsi. we probably picked up at least 30 diet pepsi bottles. we ran into the old lady who loves to exercise and she said during the summer this guy throws out 2 of the 1 liter bottles a day. so dad and i are on a mission to find and prosecute this man. if you have any information you can call me or dad. or the local sheriff. we will find you diet pepsi man!!!!!
