so little time!

okay, time here in london is starting to fly. the first two weeks went by like molasses. molasses? is that how you spell it? anyway, we were all sitting there thinking, three months is going to be FOREVER. but now time is speeding up. we are starting to freak out a little bit. thats probably why i havent updated for a while, i have been busy doing stuff. so i will start with sunday and go from there! we made it to church on time. we are in the wandsworth common ward, we as in me and three other girls. including briannes friend brittney who i love! shes in my room too, shes so funny. and she shops more than i do. our ward is in a little chapel that is out be wandsworth common. theres about 50-70 people that come to sacrament. its a small ward. and yes, thanks to ginger, i am stuck playing the piano in sacrament. i dont know how i got that calling. word to the wise: dont ever write on anything that you are capable of playing the piano. they WILL make you do it. so i played last week and survived, and i have to play again this week. anyway, we had religion class that night, it was pretty good. the next day, monday, we went to the british museum to draw. we have to draw 6 hours a week for drawing class. its painful. but the british musem is awesome! rick steve's says it is like walking through an encyclopedia, and hes right. and that was also the night i ate so much chocolate i wanted to die. well not really, i just felt sick. really, it was a lot. the next day we went to the national gallery. it was SUNNY! i know, crazy. it was so nice that we decided to stay and sketch outside. and no, i will not be including any pictures of my sketchs. unless they start being good. so we stayed out there for a while and had some fun. this picture is in trafalgar square, which is AMAZING. i sketched the statue of king george on his horse.we did go inside but we didnt have a ton of time. tuesday night was also one of the best nights of my life. we went to harrods and found the gelato shop! seriously, we almost cried. they have desserts there for 14 pounds. thats 28 dollars for those of you that dont know. kendra and i decided to split a banana split. ha ha, split a banana split. anyway, heres a picture of it. it was SO GOOD. it was vanilla gelato, banana, whipped cream, and some raspberry/chocolate/were not really sure sauce. this is kendra and i before we chowed down.anyway, we love harrods. and then we came home and found out that heath ledger died, hence my earlier post. sad. the next day was another great day! meg and i woke up and went running in the park before playing soccer there. it was so fun. there was about 20 people that played and im sure we were really loud and obnoxious, but hey, its a park. so step off brits. later that day i went to a store called primark. imagine forever 21 times 10. everyone here was raving about it but i didnt find anything i liked. i have been so good about shopping here, you would all be so proud. theres a lot of stuff here i like, but i am saving my money for the stuff that i LOVE. and that was shopping today. we went to this little place called spitafield market where i bought this cute t that says "turn up the peace". it was little pricey, but hey, the proceeds go to helping children with aids. meg is going back to get a matching one next week. after that we went to this store called "source". we just went to browse, but i ended up finding my soulmate. no, not that soulmate. i mean soulmate in the form of a sweater. it is SO cute. i included a picture so you understand how cute it is. and this is why i chose to save my money, because it was expensive. but i couldnt say no, i knew i would regret not buying it. we then decided to go to the giant topshop on oxford street. little did we know that in the same vicinity was an h&m and the COOLest urban outfitters i have ever seen. i ended up buying a shirt from topshop and a hat from urban. i know, i spent a lot of pounds today. but i have no remorse. okay, i jumped to shopping without talking about what else i did this week. we went and saw "the importance of being earnest". this is me and some of my roommates, thats my bunkmate amy in the blue and the other two girls in black are my other roommates, kendra and emily.it was pretty good, not really my type of show, but still good. and yesterday we had art class all day, which really is not that bad because we always go to museums. for drawing we went to the british museum and for conceptual we went to the tate modern. tate modern is a modern art gallery with some CRAZY stuff in it. a couple years ago they put this giant crack in the floor as "art". it symbolizes, and i quote, this is deep so get ready, "colonial and imperial history that has been disregarded, marginalised or simply obliterated... the history of racism, running parallel to the history or modernity and its untold dark side." the artist hopes that people will "confront discomforting truths about our world and about ourselves with absolute candidness and without self-deception." i told you it was deep. so we hung out there for a little bit before going to another crazy exhibit that involved midgets. so ya, sometimes i complain about class here and then i realize that my homework involves going to world-renowned art exhibits and walking around. its rough. so yep, thats what ive been doing the past couple days. and thinking about and missing you guys of course. it has been a lot sunnier here but a lot colder. we leave for paris on monday and we are all really excited. im trying to come up with a plan so i can see everything. well, i know thats impossible, but as much of the good stuff as i can! i think thats about all the updates i have. i still wish someone would come visit me, i have so many places here already that i love and want to show people. lindsey, im mostly talking to you. or taylor, if you can get mom and dad to fly you and lindsey out that would be awesome. dad, i hope you get your birthday package soon. i sent some of my favorites. and we seem to have a thief in our room. my bunkmate amy, who i love, has had 5 candy bars go missing! im telling you, english chocolate makes people do crazy things. tomorrow im hoping to go to the british library. they have the magna carta there! im excited. oh and the original hamlet and the original alice in wonderland. so yes, tomorrow should be good too. this is a way long blog and youre probably sick of reading. i tried to include a lot of pictures to spruce it up a bit. my itunes is on random right now and michael mclean "the forgotten carols" just came on. funny. i wonder how many of you have stopped reading by now? i am going to post tomorrow and take pictures of the cute things i bought. and pictures from the british library. be excited. love and miss you all. oh i will throw in one more picture. this is from the v&a, the victoria and albert musem. it was taken a couple weeks ago, but it reigns as my favorite picture taken thus far.

do you guys miss me? do you?

Wow, you are seeing so many amazing things. I was never able to get to all of those places because we didn't get to London that much. What great experiences. You look gorgeous in every picture. You are going to have so much fun in Paris, there is so much to see. I remember walking around the corner in the Louvre and looking up the stairs to see the Winged Victory of Samothrace thinking I can't believe I am looking at this in person. Be Careful, eat lots of pastries and we can't wait to see your pics. Love you lots!
