ok, so i havent posted a blog for an entire week. sorry bout that. its been crazy since we got back from paris and i havent had a ton of time. but i will try to tell you everything that has happened this week. so sunday, not much happened. church was good, i really like my ward a lot. except that asked me to talk this week. so i will be moving from the piano to the pulpit then back to the piano. hm. anyway, we had an AMAZING banana cream dessert thing that night. it was so good. the crust is made out of rich tea mcvities. i will have to try to make it when i get home. tueday i had to work on my art project all day. i am in conceptual art (which i thought would be cool photography but really turned out to be a modern hippie class) and we had to do a project. i felt okay about mine but my teacher ended up loving it. hes told me like 3 times how good it is and how i should keep working on it. so that was cool! but i seriously had to go all over london to get all the stuff for it, which was just a bunch of different pictures of "collections". anyway, that night i convinced everyone that we should learn the soulja boy dance. so funny! except we got in trouble because supposedly we were jumping too much and the floor is not very sturdy. but it was a very good time while it lasted! this is brittney, me, and kendra roamin the streets of london causing a rouckus. on wednesday we went to oxford! it really is an amazing little city. i guess oxford is just the university, which doesnt really exist. its made up of a bunch of different colleges which all are run independently. we didnt really go a ton of places in particular, more just wandered around. one of the colleges is home to the great hall in harry potter, but we didnt have time to go in. we saw balioel college, which is the more prestigious of the colleges there. we also saw blackwells bookstore, guinness world record holder for most books for sale in a single room. besides that we kindof just wandered around. its only an hour and a half away on the bus so we can go back anytime. and we will. this is meg and i at balioel. and the second picture is a gorgeous little river, its what so much of oxford looks like.thursday was an awesome day. i had class the whole first part of the day, basically from 9 to 4. but it wasnt too bad and it was fun to see everyones art projects. then that night was when we went to othello! its only playing til the 23rd of the this month and its all sold out so you just have to go the day of and try to get standing tickets. i was worried about stading but the theatre is tinry so you are so close. they have an amazing cast, including ewan mcgregor who plays iago. i had never heard the story line before so it was fun to not know what was going to happen. after that we stuck around to try and get an autograph. we ended up with only one, from the guy that played casio. oh ya, and during the play a lady threw up on my coat. not my grey one, but a black one that i bought here. the workers were really nice and tried to clean it but i left it there. i mean, wouldnt you??? way gross. this is liz, me, soj and meg after the play.friday was soooo warm! the weather is getting so nice here its great. my roommates and i decided to go on a little adventure. we cruised up to abbey road and snapped some pictures. it is in a really cute little area and it was way fun to walk down abbey road. and of course, we had to take a beatles pic, which is harder than it looks because there is a lot of traffic on that street. after abbey road we went to hampstead heath which is supposedly the nicest area of london, where celebs like jude law, kate winslet, hugh grant, all choose to live. we just walked around the heath which is like a giant amazing park. there are a bunch of little ponds and ivy covered trees. were going to go back in a couple weeks and go for a dip in a pond, not kidding. and take a picnic. and that night we decided to be a little adventurous and i convinced my roommates to trust me, bad idea right? wrong. we went back to the othello theatre and stalked out the secret back exit. and who did we come upon? oh just ewan mcgregor. he signed my othello playbill and we snapped a quick picture. it was so funny. check out brittneys face too. anyway, we came back and the other girls were mad at us but whatev. i mean, a lady threw up on my coat youd think i deserved an autograph and picture right?? i think so. oh well, girls will be girls.
today was another amazing sunny warm-ish day. meg and i signed up to run the love run 10k in battersea park. it was kindof a whim, weve been running everyday in hyde park and thought it would be fun. there were about 2500 people there and it was so fun! there were a couple moments when i wondered why i was doing it, but i finished and with a good time. they havent posted the results yet but joe (art professor) came to support us and said it was in the 40's somewhere. heres meg and i before the big race.
on the way home we kept seeing all these crazy people all dressed up and singing and what not. we were so confused as to what was going on, i didnt think it was a holiday. so we asked a couple people and found out it was new zealand day. we were in the tube stop and the platform was ENTIRELY covered with drunk, dressed up, new zealanders making complete fools of themselves, it was so funny. i wish i wouldve snapped a picture. i came home and did some research and found out that london is one of the biggest celebrations for new zealand day and what they do is ride the circle line tube all day and they get off at every stop, go have a drink at a pub, and get back on the circle line. it was hilarious.
tonight we tried to go to the chinese new year celebration at the british museum but everything closed at 5 so we didnt really get to see much. and then i came home and started on this blog! so i hope this was entertaining, a little bit at least. tomorrow we are going to try to go to the bafta arounds and see some famous peeps, like george clooney, orlando bloom, etc. we will see how it goes. and my talk, wish me luck. and i got home today to find a little package of heaven from the best family in the world!!!!!! you guys are great. i already am almost done with the cellophane package of candy, bad news. but thanks for sending all that stuff, i loved it. thanks for the card scott, kari, and bella. i almost ate it before i realized it was just a card. i think thats all i have to tell you. i thought there was something else but now i dont remember. thanks again, id like to hear from more of you! well im off to bed, love you all. ill probably call tomorrow night or something. save me a roll?

I was doing my usual check on tmz.com today and there was a headline that read "Ewan finds love in London with American College Student" and I thought...could it be...I guess it was just confirmed. Your post makes me want to do a race!

Sounds like just another week in Provo...ha, ha. I want you to know that was an expensive bag of valentine hearts. I could have bought 12 bags with what it cost to send those to you...so enjoy every heart. Can't wait to hear about the race and the talk. I heard there was a huge fire in north London? Camden Market? Hope to talk to you today. Love, Mom
