after sacre-coeur we walked over the eiffel tower. the very top was closed so we only got to go up to the second floor. but we climbed the stairs all the way up. we climbed a LOT of stairs in paris. the eiffel tower was really neat and we were there to watch the sunset which was really cool.
that night we went to dinner at a little restaurant and i got one of the best burgers ive ever had. dont ask why the only time i eat a burger is in paris, because i dont know why. then we went to the champs-elysses and got crepes and hot chocolate. my favorite crepe is the banana and nutella one. so good!
on tuesday we went to the ile-de-la-cite, the little island with saint-chapelle and notre dame. climbed more stairs to the top of notre dame, and saw quasi. oh wait, thats just me. i looked ugly for five days straight, dont mind the pictures. then we got some amazing gelato from berthillon, its supposed to be the best ice cream in paris. i got peach, and loved it.
then we went to the pantheon, an amazing building where victor hugo, alexander dumas, marie curie, rosseau, and a bunch of other frenchies are buried. we then walked to luxembourg gardens, which im sure is a lot prettier in the spring. still really cool though. we had a lot of fun taking pictures there.
then we were off the les invalides, which was probably my favorite place in paris. it is the place where napoleon is buried, and its insane. his body is in 5 different coffins before this giant mahogany tomb. we ate dinner at a really good place called tribeca that night, it was our favorite meal while we were in paris. they were also the nicest to us lousy americans. wednesday we started at the arc de triomphe. its crazy! i had no idea it was so big. we climbed to the top of that as well.
then we strolled down the champs-elysses before ending at the louvre. the louvre is incredible! standing in front of the mona lisa was surreal. my favorite painting there was 'liberty leading the people'. just imagine les miserables in a painting. there we also saw the venus de milo, the code of hammurabi, madonna on the rocks and so so so so much more! all those pictures i will put on facebook. the next day we went to the d'orsay which is another amazing museum. they have a bunch of van gogh's and monet's. i think monet is one of my new favorites. i saw van goghs bedroom painting! after that a couple of us went out to versailles, king louis XIV's palace. i think that is what the jensens were trying to make their house look like. that was my dessert splurge night so i got an eclaire dessert among many other things. then yesterday was our last day. we went to the rodin museum, home to 'the thinker' and 'the kiss'. we also went to a store called cimarron and between 3 of us there were 6 pairs of pants purchased. i only bought 1 with meg bringing it home at 3. meg is bad news for my shopping habits. then we went to laduree and bought the best macaroons EVER. i need to try to bring some home to you guys. they are so delicious. then we saw a dead guy and decided to call it a day. we headed to the train station and waited to get back home to wonderful london! peace out paris.
paris was amazing and i saw some really cool stuff, but i wasnt super impressed. its dirty, and smelly. and the french are mean. and they talk funny. i definitely appreciate london and america a lot more now. but it was a great trip. look on facebook for more pictures because they take forever to upload on here. oh and here is a picture of the 3 things i bought for bella. the picture doesnt do them justice, they are adorable. but i realized they were all sleepers. thats okay though, babies sleep a lot right?
love you all! peace out.

WOW Kris what an amazing trip. I think that you saw it all (maybe more then you wanted like the dead guy). I too remember climbing a lot of stairs and at some point in Paris Dad said that he had seen enough paintings and naked statues. I am glad that you had such a fabulous experience, one that you will never forget. The baby outfits look darling! I love your blog. Love ya, Mom
Kris-I am working on getting the Zanax perscription sent to you...clearly you are depressed and not having an ounce of fun! Baby Girl and I are very hungry after reading about all of the desserts you ate, I love Liberty leading her people, its amazing. Those outfits made me so excited, she will be so stylish while she sleeps! Love you!
